The Asalat Karbala Ramadan Football Championship officially kicked off this evening at Karbala Secondary International Stadium in Karbala, under the patronage of Member of Parliament Yasser Al‑Maliki, with the participation of several teams representing various districts across the province.
The opening ceremony was attended by Karbala Deputy Governor Luqman Al‑Maliki, alongside a number of sports and community figures. A speech delivered on behalf of Al-Bashaer Movement highlighted the importance of supporting sports activities as an organized platform for promoting positive competition and reinforcing values of cooperation and belonging among youth.
The championship falls ضمن broader initiatives aimed at activating the local sports sector, embracing youth talents, and providing a structured competitive environment that contributes to skill development and community engagement during the holy month of Ramadan.
